Position Summary
Underthe direction and supervision of the Division Supervisor, the PhlebotomyTechnician performs capillary, venous and NBS specimen collections. Staffensures accurate identification of patients and specimens along with timelyreceipt and delivery of specimens to the Laboratory.
Minimum Qualifications
Education
High School graduate orequivalent.
Experience
One or more (1 ) yearsas a Phlebotomist or Lab Assistant performing blood specimen collections.
License/Certification
Current California StateCertificate for a Certified Phlebotomy Technician l (CPT1) is required. American Heart Association BLS card isrequired.
Preferred Qualifications
Two or more (2 ) years ofexperience in blood specimen collections.
Venipuncturecertification
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Technical:
Ability to perform bloodspecimen collections on infants, children and adults.
Ability to perform basiccomputer keyboard data entry.
Ability to problem solvewithin scope of training.
Interpersonal:
Ability to interact with other healthcarestaff members in a professional courteous manner and demonstrates goodcommunication / telephone skills.
Ability to understandand communicate in oral and written English.
Organizational:
Ability to followdirections regarding assigned tasks, dealing with priority tasks first, thencomplete remaining tasks within the established time frames.
Ability to multitask ina fast-paced environment and maintain a pace appropriate to the workload.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
