Member Service Representative
An excellent company near Orange is looking for a Member Service Representative who works well in a fast paced environment high stress environment. The Member Service Representative is a temp position. The Member Service Representative will be responsible for taking inbound calls and working in a call center environment. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel and Outlook) and computer skills. Must be familiar with medical terminology such as medicare and medical.
Duties for the Customer Service will include but not limited to the following:
o Explain the plan's procedures, protocols, benefits, services, and any other necessary information to the members who telephone or visit the Member Services Department.
o Answer all incoming member phone calls within the department's goal timeframe.
o Every incoming call must be typed during the course of the call. Every contact must be documented with pertinent details (i.e., caller name, contact info, reason for call, action taken, resolution, etc.,)
o Process all requests for Primary Care Physician (PCP) changes and emergency disenrollments.
o Assist members with their transportation needs. Schedule and arrange member transportation. Interpret and verify plan's transportation benefit
Pay $14.00-15.00 per hour DOE
Schedule 9:00am-6:00pm, 8:00am-5:00pm or 8:00am-5:00pm
To be eligible for the Member Service Representative candidates must meet all of the following requirements:
o Must have 2-3 years, minimum, of previous customer service in a call center
o Must be able to multi-task in a fast paced environment
o Must have medical terminology such as medical and medicare knowledge
o Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel and Outlook) and computer literate.
o Must be able to communicate in Spanish
o Must be detailed oriented have excellent follow-through skills
o Must have outstanding communications skills (verbal and written)
o Must have High School Diploma
o Must be able to handle and take ownership of any inquiries and or problems
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
