Job DescriptionAECOM is seeking a Senior Traffic Engineer to be based in Orange or Los Angeles, California.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Lead traffic engineering projects throughout CaliforniaPlan approvals through LADOT and CaltransStrong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to discuss projects with co-workers, clients, regulatory agency staff, AECOM staff, and the public in meetings and at public events as well as write concise and readable technical reports and documentsSupporting a wide range of traffic engineering projects for roadway, freeway, transit systems, managed lanes, bicycle and pedestrian facilitiesMust be highly self-motivated with the ability to successfully multi-task, perform detail-oriented work, work independently, and demonstrate effective time management skillsGathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined proceduresWorks on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving design calculations, analysis, value engineering, writing technical specification and project cost estimateProposes approach to solve new problems encountered, apply innovative design solution, implementing current technology to meet project design needsProvides guidance, mentor and coach to entry level/junior engineers, or technicians, to learn and improve their technical skillsPerforms work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with little supervisionSkilled in the use of Microsoft Office programs and other relevant software programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, and preferable Project)Skilled in MicroStation and AutoCAD softwareMust be highly self-motivated with the ability to successfully multi-task, perform detail-oriented work, work independently, demonstrate effective time management skills, and consistently deliver high quality deliverablesQualificationsMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
BA/BS plus eight (8) years of relevant experience including work in the state of California or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or educationPREFERRED

years of job-related experience, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or educationCalifornia PE/TE licenseHands on design/study experience on Caltrans transportation projects and familiar with Caltrans standards, Highway Design Manual, Traffic Manual, Highway Capacity Manual, policy and proceduresAdditional InformationOffered rate of compensation (California locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
The salary range for this position is $106,800.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
