Chiropractic Assistant for a busy Chiropractic practice.
DUTIES:
Works closely with the doctor.
Schedule appointments, check-in patients, do medical billing and code insurance claims, answer phone calls, respond to patient questions and perform any other duties the doctor may ask you to do.
Under the direction of the doctor, apply and oversee the application of therapy modalities such as electrical stimulation, heat/ice, ultrasound, etc.
Assist the doctor with note taking and preparation.
Collect past-due accounts, issue receipts, pass out educational materials or give out treatment guidelines per the doctor.
Skills:
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on patient satisfaction - Knowledge of medical office procedures and terminology - Proficiency in using computer systems for scheduling and record keeping - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written - Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment - Attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining patient records - Experience working at the front desk of a medical or dental office is preferred -Should also be skilled at management and administration as you are likely to find yourself in a fairly autonomous position where you will be responsible for a number of administrative tasks and duties.
