Job Summary The Admitting Representative is responsible for assisting with patients and families in a prompt and courteous manner.
This individual consistently secures accurate demographic information to create a complete medical record.
Pay Range Minimum $19.
16 Midpoint $25.
39 Maximum $31.
61 Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements.
Experience Required:
Minimum one (1) year of working in registration within a hospital setting or equivalent.
Preferred:
One (1) year of working in admitting/ registration in a hospital setting.
Education Required:
High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
Preferred:
Associate degree in healthcare related field.
Training Required:
None required.
Specialized Skills Required:
Ability to type a minimum of 40 WPM.
Ability to work with computers, faxes, multiline phones, copiers, printers, and other office equipment.
Excellent customer service skills, ability to work with minimal supervision, excellent communication skills, strong team player.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology.
Fluent in written and spoken English.
Proficient skills in using Microsoft Office e.

Ability to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others; be assertive and consistent in enforcing policies; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure.
Licensure Required:
Comprehensive Crisis Management (CCM) - required within 90 days of first assignment in the Emergency Department; Basic Life Support (BLS).
