Summary:
Dr. Sunmin Lee is a social epidemiologist with a research focus on reducing health disparities among minoritized and immigrant populations, with a special focus on Asian Americans. Dr. Lee has over 20
years of research experience and has led numerous research projects funded by NIH or CDC. She is currently leading two NIH-funded R01 research projects focused on: (1) building a cohort of Chinese, Korean, and Vietnamese Americans to assess the impact of immigrant stressors on sleep and cardiometabolic health; and (2) testing a randomized controlled trial to increase colorectal cancer screening among Asian American primary care patients. Dr. Lee also leads a few other studies related to gastric cancer and Alzheimer's disease. Most of Dr. Lee's research is based on the concept of community-based participatory research, and thus, her team works closely with communities to address their health needs.
The Hematology/Oncology Division in the Department of Medicine in the School of Medicine, University of California, Irvine, is recruiting for a full-time Staff Research Associate to support research projects in the research team of Principal Investigator Dr. Sunmin Lee. This position is available immediately.

The expected pay range for this recruitment is $27.87 - $35.36 (Hourly Rate). The Full Salary Range for the salary grade this position is assigned to is $27.87 - $44.85 (Hourly Rate).

Master's degree in public health or related field
Bilingual in Chinese, Korean, or Vietnamese
Experience in community outreach and participant recruitment
Bachelor's Degree

Special Conditions Required:
Work will require travel by personal vehicle to study sites, may include weekend and evenings.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
